Private Dog Training in San Diego
In person training for puppies, basic manners, or for dogs who need individualized services for behavior issues or issues related to the home environment. Sessions may take place in your home, our private training yard or at a local park.
What Your Pup Will Learn:
We specialize in puppy training, basic manners, rescue dogs, and dogs with anxiety, fear or reactivity. Get Pawsitive also has a wealth of experience helping families prepare for their new baby's arrival and works with other species like horses, cats, and even guinea and pet pigs too! You and your pup will learn the joys of training through safe, positive methods with us.

Initial Dog Training Consultation
All private in-person sessions start with an initial training consultation with one of our Get Pawsitive team members.
During the Consultation
Our Get Pawsitive Trainers give you tips and tricks to engage your dog more through interactive enrichment. You'll learn skills to begin working on right away that will help to eliminate the naughty behaviors and change their behavior.
We'll finish our training consultation with clear next steps and exercises to practice on your own for getting the well-behaved dog you want. We'll also discuss the most appropriate training plan moving forward for continued support.

Day Training
Initial Private Consultation Required
No time to train? Have some serious behavior modification to focus on? Day Training is for you! It’s fast, fun and efficient. This option speeds up the learning process by having 2-4 dedicated training sessions/week with the trainer and the dog(s), and a collaborative coaching session with the owner to review what is being worked on. Ideal for the full-time workers or families always on the go!
Similar to a "board and train" but your dog can remain in his own comfortable environment, stress-free while receiving concentrated training specific to his behavioral needs to help speed up results. Day Training is a great solution for specific behaviors such as new puppy training, basic life manners, or behavioral issues. For optimal results,day training usually runs 2-4 weeks.
Separation Anxiety
Initial 30 min Consult Zoom Call: $75
Worried your pup isn't doing well when left alone? Are you wondering if your dog is really dealing witih Separation Anxiety? Learn more about it with our one of our certified experts and how we can help your dog.
We begin with a 30-minute consultation via Zoom video (or phone if preferred). This call goes over reviewing your dog's history, an overview of separation anxiety and isolation distress in dogs, signs of separation anxiety in dogs, the details of our training/treatment program and what you can do now to minimize the stress until you begin treating it. If necessary, there may also be a live video assessment of your dog being left alone.
